Steph Collins, MDiv, Registered Psychotherapist

I love connecting with others, hearing their stories, and helping them identify their strengths and giftings.

I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Therapy in 2012, and then took a big break from therapy to be home full-time with my kids.

Four years ago, I returned to therapy and joined The College of Registered Psychotherapist’s of Ontario (CRPO). I have since obtained additional trainings specializing in Couples and Relationship Therapy. I have training with the Gottman Institute and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT).

When working with clients, I use an eclectic approach based on the client’s need and goals. All of my work is viewed through a trauma informed lens.

I utilize Family Systems and Attachment Theory (how our upbringing and family dynamics impact the way we see ourselves and the world). I incorporate Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Exploring how our thoughts and internal narratives influence our emotions and behaviours), and Somatic Experiencing (looking at the ways in which our bodies send physical sensations and messages to us get our attention). I use EFT and research based interventions from the Gottman Institute.

I believe that with a safe and trustworthy space to process, and the right interventions, therapy can be positively life changing.

Steph is currently accepting new clients
